Fall 2016 Crochet Classes

Heather will be teaching crochet classes all around the Pioneer Valley this fall!

Fall Crochet Classes and Drop In at WEBs

If you have taken Crochet I or have otherwise learned the basics, we still have a couple of spots left in Crochet II on Wednesday evenings 6-8pm, starting Wednesday November 9.

Crocheted Snowflakes Saturday, 11/12/2016 10:30am-1:00pm
Snowflakes are a classic crochted holiday decoration. We’ll start 3 snowflake patterns in worsted weight yarn. You can then go on to make your own blizzards!

If you get stuck completeing any of your projects. I’ve got you covered with free crochet help! Bring your pattern, your yarn, and your questions to Crochet Drop-In at WEBs, the following Thursdays from 5:30pm–8:00pm

November 17
December 15

Dates for winter/spring 2017 will be posted here!

Be sure to bring your project with what you have done so far, including any swatches. Please don’t leave it at home or rip it out because it “looks bad”. This is how we will diagnose your project and get you on track to finish it successfully.

Crochet Drop In is not a beginner’s class. It is a first come, first served open session for anyone with crochet project questions. You don’t need to have a problem to get help, though. If you are starting a project, we can take a look together at the pattern and translate stitches and instruction, and discuss materials. If time allows, you might even be able to start a swatch we can review together.

The Fiber Festival of New England

I’ll be teaching two mini workshops at the Festival this year.

Learn Tunisian Crochet Stitches Today! Saturday November 5, 9:30-11:30 am
We’ll swatch together to learn the four basic Tunisian stitches. I provide all of the materials, so if you are curious about Tunisian crochet, this is a great way to get a sampling of the stitches. If you have your own Tunisian hook and yarn, you can bring that and just pay for the handout.

The Stash Busting Granny Square Sunday November 6, 9:30-11 am

The Granny square is a classic way to use up scrap yarn and was one of the earliest published patterns. We will learn how to make a basic granny square and how to join squares to each other as you go. Bring some stash yarn (please wind yarn if you need to before class) and your hooks. I will also have yarn and hooks available for $10 if you forget. Naturally, since we are at a fiber festival, there are plenty for sale as well!
